Certainly this has been a long time coming. I have feared for quite some time that Canadian policy-makers lacked sufficient jacobs to audaciously put these two torturous states in their place. Nobody can consciously testify that the practices at Gauntanamo Bay do not breach  the many statutes of common anti-torture legislation. We’ve all known what’s gone on there for a few years and many nations, like us, have failed to call the Americans on their bullshit.
