I find it mildly remarkable how I now prefer Facebook over MSN when communicating with peers. My opinion being, its a lot easier to drop in here and there for casual hellos than spend hours tapping away on MSN. Just think about it, Facebook is easier than email, it’s interface is still communicable in primitive chat fashion and it explains the common “hows it going” queries you’d present your friends with anyways. As we all get older and our lives evolve into busier venues like career, family etc., Facebook really is the easier way to go about wading in the social pool.
I’m not trying to sound like such a commercial for Facebook, but this is just one prime example of the wave of Social Networks that are shaping the way we communicate and generate content on the web. Facebook actually garners 1% of all the daily web browsing. When you think of the millions of websites out there, that’s a pretty impressive statistic.
