An interesting article from CTV.ca today on hospitals not being able to diagnose obese patients properly. Doctors are citing the equipment they have is not sustainable enough to accommodate obese patients. Fuckin D’uh!

McNeil pointed out that the hospital can rent over-sized equipment when it’s called for, but noted that patients who are very obese are sometimes sent to nearby veterinary colleges.

“The MRI and X-ray machines there are designed for horses,” he said. “How would you feel?”

As a society what are we doing to ourselves? These lives of excess are quickly catching up to us in all facets of living. Is this evolution or annihilation?
